Phylis & Petie

Phylis was actually given a gift certificate for a mini session for her and  her horse Petie (yes - I have gift certificates available people!). I was so excited about this session, because it was going to be a shoot I had never done before - I was also a little nervous because it was a shoot I had never before! ha! Also, let me just say it has been at least 10 years since I've been up close and personal with a horse. I really loved the idea of this session - Phylis grew up around horses on her grandpas farm, but once she got married and had three girls life became too busy. She still loved horses but that part of her life was put on the back burner. Well over the last several years all three of her girls got married - so now she is able to focus on one of her first true loves again! She has had Petie for a few years and let me tell ya - he is gorgeous!  I had so much fun this session, Phylis gave me some great pointers on how to get his attention and at the end of the day I even fed him a carrot  =0)     I really loved how the pictures came out - Enjoy!

The Giddens Family!

Meet The Giddens family! Jordyn has been one of my best friends since 5th grade. We have been through alot together and have had our ups and downs but she is one of those friends that I can go years without seeing and then hang out one day and it's like we have never missed a beat. She is also that friend that I NEED in my life, because every time I am with her I nearly wet my pants from laughing so hard (In case you didn't know - everyone needs a friend like that!) She has had alot of changes this year - the first one being SHE GOT MARRIED! And let me tell ya - she married a good one! Blake is just a big ole teddy bear, and is so much fun to be around. She also became a step mom to Mason (who is by far one of the funniest kids you will ever meet). And finally - she and Blake had Lola, the most precious little baby girl in the world. I could not be more happy for this family, because they deserve it. These are some lucky kids and I can not wait to watch them grow up (be prepared, I'm sure you will be seeing more of this family on here) We met a few weeks ago at their house when Lola was only 9 days old. She was SO awake, but we did manage to get a few sleepy pics. (Parents, the best time for newborn pictures is under 10 days old). Ok enough of my blabbering - enjoy!
Ok must talk about this picture - I hope she treasures this one forever. I think every little girl needs a picture of them safe in their daddys arms ;)
Ok seriously how could you not LOVE the last two pictures?!? Every time I look at these pictures I literally want to run to see my little Lola! Oh and did I mention - she is my God Daughter! That's right folks -  she is stuck with me forever - oh how excited I am!

Jordyn, Blake, Mason & Lola - thanks for being such special friends - I absolutely adore every single one of you!

Evan Sanchez!

Evan has been a friend of mine for several years and is about to graduate in a few weeks from UTA! He is graduating with a degree in education, he plans to teach 4th - 8th grade math/science (bless him!) haha! Math and Science were BY FAR my worst subjects in school - I could not imagine having a passion to want to teach them :) Evan will make a great teacher - he is so passionate about teaching! Evan was wanting to do a SR Photo type session - something to remember this exciting time in his life, plus he needed some new pictures of himself for family! We met on a gorgeous Saturday morning in Waxahachie and had a great time catching up and laughing. Thankfully Evan knows me pretty well so he was prepared to do whatever...

I love how excited he looks in this last picture - and hello the boy got some air! Who said white men cant jump?!?! haha

Congratulations Evan! I wish you the very best!
